February 17, '08

First things first, we finally have some 'functionality' for this website once more. You can check out the shows page, for example, and see what's goin' on for '08.

In other news, our drummer, "Big Lou" Luke Pelotte is moving to Fort McMurray, AB for true gainful employment, as opposed to measly musician wages! We're gonna miss him dearly, but we're sure our paths will cross again one day. We're all gonna be out at The Loop, and Phog Lounge, in beautiful downtown Windsor, ON this Friday/Saturday nights, Feb. 22, 23 to toast Luke before he departs on the 27th. He's playin' with The Locusts Have No King and Hung Jury at these fine venues.

Speaking of Wild Rose Country (Alberta, that is), Mr. Chill along with Witnesses' guitarist Greg Cox are performing at the Epcor Centre in Calgary, Friday February 29th, as part of Epcor's "Carma Blues Series". We'll also make an appearance on CTV's Breakfast TV show, early that day, and also be interviewed on CKUA radio in the mid-afternoon as well. There are only a handful of tickets left, so contact Ticketmaster and see about availability.

Finally, Mr. Chill would like to congratulate Joel Plaskett on his recent Juno nomination for his songwriting on "Ashtray Rock", and his huge awards haul at this years East Coast Music Awards, held earlier this month. Mr. Chill had the honour of playing on the aforementioned CD, and played live with the Joel Plaskett Emergency in Waterloo, Ottawa and Toronto in 2007.
